1. Alot depends on what you are looking for. I would choose Alaska if I could. Many great places from 1 coast to another.
2. What are you interested in? Citys? Country life? Mountains? Deserts? There are soooooo many things to do and places to see.

4. Definitely visit some of the national parks such as Crater Lake in Oregon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, etc. Cities I would say NYC, New Orleans, Boston, Savannah, Charleston, San Francisco, Chicago.
