What nationality do i consider myself?

I was born in Lagos, NG to a British mother and Nigerian Father. I lived in Nigeria until I was 8 and then moved to London for one year before moving to the United States. I am a naturalized U.S. citizen and I've lived in the United States for the last ten years. After living in 8 cities in 3 continents and being a citizen of three countries I sometimes don't know where to tell people i'm from. I'm likely moving to Europe or Australia in 2 years after i graduate from college and I would have lived in America for 12 years. When I move and people ask me where i'm from what do I say? America--- citizen and lived here for 10 years British---only lived there for 1 year but mother is citizen Nigeria--Born and lived there for 8 years

  1. Sounds like you're all Laosed up.
  2. Isn't it wonderful that, no matter what your background, you can still be AMERICAN????? My mother was born in Germany, but came to the US when only 11 months old. She grew up in Brooklyn NY, and became naturalized when she was a teenager. If you ask her, she'll tell you she's American. Have a "cultural" day.
