What are better big cities or small towns?

I live in a small town and i have always lived in small towns. Is living in a city better?

  1. If you like man-made or artificial entertainment go to the cities. If you like more natural things get out of the city.
  2. it depends on what you are looking for an what you value. Living in a small town, you know a lot of people, they tend to be friendlier but there may be less opportunities and entertainment venues. so if you value the friendliness and don't mind driving, small towns are for you. Big cities tend to be the opposite - although some neighbor hoods can feel like small towns.
  3. I have lived in various places...big and small. In my opinion the mid size city is the way to go. Around 80-150 thousand people is great because you have all the amenities of a big city with out the hassle or traffic. It has the feel of small town with friendly people, yet you can still have a wide variety of things to do. Too small and you end up marrying your cousin. Too big and you feel lost and disconnected from everything else.
  4. I've always lived in big cities that r safe ,usually small towns dn't have this problem, but bigger cities r more comfortable if U wanna go and watch a movie or go to a show etc.U dnt have to get a car and drive for who knows how much.
  5. It depends... in small towns, everyone knows everyone and people tend to be friendlier and more trustful. In big cities, there's a lot to look at, bigger malls, more restaurants, etc., but if you want to make friends, you have to sign up for some kind of activity.
