What is the best small town in the Czech Republic?
I am traveling through Eastern Europe right now and I am a little burnt out on big cities. I will be heading to the Czech Republic in about 4 to 5 days and would like to spend some time in a small town or city. Some place where I can just collect my thoughts, enjoy a beer, and talk to people.

- Karlovy Vary is really nice and small town.It is famous for hot water and it takes 2 hours by bus from Prague..
- Pardubice - great character, cheaper than Prague. Nice castle just outside the city (Kuneticka Hora). About an hour by train east of Prague. Good restaurants & friendly people. The town sqaure is reminicent of Prague architecture. Hotel 100 is a descent place to stay and in the center.
- Home of some great beers: Plzen, Czech Republic (Pilsner Urquell) and Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic (original Budweiser Budvar)
- I think Cesky Krumlov is really nice. So is Kutna Hora.
