best places to live

I know about how rough probation is in a small city. My question is, in major cities are they less strict?

on people on probation and parole? You can't even drink beer while on probation here.

  1. no there harder, you have to do more drug screens, classes, and report ins
  2. In a major city they are worse because case loads are higher.
  3. There is no correlation between rural and urban areas and stricter probation. It's simply a matter of caseload. Some urban areas PO's have a high case load and some rural ones do as they may cover a larger area. Also, a large case load does not always equal more lenient. Sometimes officers with extremely large caseloads are more quick to revoke someones probation to ease their caseload. If you're thinking about transferring, do you homework on the particlar area you plan on moving to.
  4. I would think harder because lately they have been cracking down on gangs and drug dealers the ones I seen them take has not been back this time.
