How do you people get around in the BIG Cities?
The biggest city I've gone to was Sanfrancisco and I can't believe how complicated it is just to get around. It's like you have to know exactly where you're going before you go..

- When I used to live in Philadelphia, I walked, took the bus/subway, or rode my bike. It was a block from my dorm to school. I learned where things were from people at school. It wasn't hard and normally I get lost easily.
- carry a map and now the area your living in. it becomes second nature
- It took me a while to learn my way around San Francisco. I always google the address I'm trying to find and print out a map before I leave the house. I also keep a map of the city in my car. I do that in any city I visit.
- I lived in SF for a summer. It's hard to get up to speed on public transport schedules as a tourist, but if you live there, you learn very quickly which buses and trains go where. Plus, a major conversation topic in such cities is how to get from one place to another. If you don't know how to get somewhere, ask the question at a party and watch the next 20 minutes be spent on the discussion of the best routes.
