What are the best places to live in NYC on a salary of 100,000+ ?

I have no specific requirements, just in a decent area. :D

1. Upper East Side of Manhattan. If you can afford the condo fees and mortgage on a $700,000 one-bedroom.
2. British Columbia, Canada, their license Plates read "Beautiful Britsh Columbia", or the new one "The Best Place On Earth"! Best place in New York never heard of it. $100,00.00 + salary could get you a nice home in N.Y., but in B.C. Good Luck!
3. My guess would be Brookyln....
4. I would suggest the high end community of Forest Hills Gardens in Queens. 20 minutes via subway to Manhattan. Great nightlife, great shops and great family neighborhood as well. And trees... You will definitely get more for your money than living in Manhattan. You will have best of both worlds. And you can actually have a car. 100k is good for Forest Hills. You will have a highly sought after address and money to enjoy it. The great parts of Manhattan, I feel would require 250k to live a lifestyle with a little peace and quiet.
