Best places in New York City to advertise for Off-Off Broadway Show?

What are the best places to advertise in NYC for an Off-Off Broadway show that is a dark comedy/

1. The Village Voice is always a good place to advertise. You could also print up some posters and plaster them about the city. However be careful. Technically you are not supposed to do this. My theatre company learned ways to be rather sneaky but it may not be worth getting fined. So you could also print up some postcards and place them at as many sights as possible in the city and it never hurts to stand outside other Off-Off-Broadway theatres and hand out the postcards after the show. Many many years ago I handed Christopher Reeve a postcard for the show I was directing. You never know what kind of audience you can stir up that way.
