What are some of the best places to eat in Boston/New York?
My senior class is going to NYC & Boston. We want to go out to eat somewhere fancy in both cities, somewhere that is just so good that everybody talks about it. We are looking for something in the $60-80 (per person) price range. Any ideas? Or, just give me the name of one of your absolute favorites!

- La Bonne Soup in New York Bar Marche in New York Joe's American Bar and Grill, Boston Hard Rock Cafe Boston
- New York is know for their steakhouses. Try Peter Luger in Brooklyn or Smith & Wollensky in Manhattan. Smith & Wollensky will is expensive. If you want seafood, try Blue Water Grill in Union Square. For all, make reservations.
- WHEN IN BOSTON TRY BUZZY'S ROAST BEEF, IT'S IN A BEAUTIFUL SPOT BY THE ESTUARY NEAR THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND THE ESPLINADE. I NEVER SPENT SIXTY BUCKS THERE BUT I SUPPOSE YOU COULD GET A TSHIRT. LEGAL SEAFOODS IS CLOSE TO SOUTH STATION AND IT IS VERY HIGHLY REGARDED, THOUGH I HAVE NEVER TRIED THE CUISINE IT IS PLACE THAT BETTER MATCHES YOUR DESCRIPTION. THE NORTH END IS THE ITALIAN SECTION, CHINATOWN ALSO SKIRTS SOUTH STATION. UNFORTUNATELY THE AIRPORT IS PRETTY MUCH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN. HAVE FUN!
- In Boston Umbria is a great place in the financial district of Boston. http://www.umbriaristorante.com In New York you can go just about anywhere and get great food. But some places I go to as a New Yorker are: One of the best places for Mexican cuisine in a very nice restaurant is Iguana: http://iguananyc.com As for a hidden gem: Firenze Italian cuisine 1594 Second Avenue 212 861 9368 Open Hours: Noon-11:15p Su-W, noon-midnight Th-Sa Like something out of a scene from an old movie, the owner of Firenze personally welcomes you and makes suggestions regarding dishes and wines that will delight you. This is a small North Italian restaurant with a relaxing ambiance, good food and excellent service. Located on the upscale Upper East Side, Firenze caters to people in the neighborhood. Popular entrees include Fettuccine with wild mushrooms, and a number of lip smacking veal and chicken dishes. *** FREE BOTTLE OF HOUSE WINE with Dinner Sunday - Wednesday for parties of four or more. ***
