What are some great places in California?

Ok, I live in Malibu, CA. I am getting married in September and me and my fiance wanna have kids soon after the marriage. But, Malibu here is not that good of a place to raise my kids. So, if anyone can help me find a good town in California, that I can raise my kids in and that has affordable prices please answer to this question. Thank you.

1. Afordable California, not likely.Riverside,Pamona,just east of los angeles.
2. If you live in Malibu, your definition of affordable may differ from mine. Two areas that I personally love and have lived in are Irvine and Rancho Cucamonga.
3. Orange county is a great place to raise kids. Go to realtor.com to see house prices.
4. Irvine. Irvine is in Orange County, and back in May 2007, Irvine was the #1 safest city in America. It has dropped to the #12 safest city in America but Irvine is great. I have lived in Irvine all my life and it's beautiful and very safe.
