Does anybody know of a pretty, affordable place to live close to (50-100 miles) the west coast USA?

1. Depending on what is affordable to you? I'm sure you'll be able to find some places, but remember that anything EAST of the major cities by the west coast such as San Diego, Los Angeles, etc. are cities that have very warm weather. I moved from Texas to San Diego, but I would never live east of the I-5 because it just gets pretty warm in the summer. Remember that several apartments and homes do NOT have A/C because back in the day it was not very hot. I'm sure you'll be able to find some neighborhoods within the major cities with rent that is very affordable, but once again, I'm not sure what affordable is for you? I live a few blocks away from the beach and live in a studio for $725. I use to live in Texas in a 2 bed./2 ba. for $700 - There are other cities outside of San Diego, Los Angeles and even San Fran. that are way more affordable. You'll be able to find a house for rent outside the cities for as much as you would paid for a 1 bed/1ba. in the city. Also, what are you looking for? I'm always making sure that the city and neighborhood is not high in crime, is very diversed, very cultural, and not far from popular places such as downtown, museums, other popular neighborhoods. 2. there are still plenty of nice affordable areas. Try Ventura County: Oxnard, Simi Valley, Fillmore, Somis, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Ventura, all within 50 miles of the coast and fairly reasonable. You can contact The Weiland Team at Aviara Real Estate for more info.
