  1. Well, you can try living in Fort Lauderdale.
  2. O.k.....Great jobs....schools, affordable housing.....Have you heard of a place called Ft. Walton Bch. Voted number one on Forbes top ten places to live and also by Money magazine. Here it is quiet...but not to quiet....safe.....unlike areas such as tampa and orlando, miami...you get the idea, low crime. There are plenty of things to do to keep you busy...plenty of beautiful white beaches.....they don't call this place the emerald coast for nothing. Check us out on the web....you'll love it here!!
  3. pensacola nice beaches good folks lots of jobs
  4. LOL--Why????? Stay away from Central FL. Our unemployment rate has just reached 7.2%--The job market here was never that good to begin with. We make less money than many people in the country. In fact the cost of living ratio is so little that some towns in Connecticut are cheaper to live in. Our houses are cheap, but jobs pay hardly anything. We have a lot of mobile homes for a reason!.... Florida has never had a good school system. In fact it was so bad, some years ago they had to implement a test called the FCAT to try to get FL up to standards with the rest of the country. When I moved here in 10th grade, I was doing the same school work I did in 8th grade up north. Same books and everything. They have a thing in high school where mere children can decide to take courses not designed to get into college. Imagine, encouraging children not to go to college? We are only above Mississippi as far as education goes. My girls do great, but I had the hindsight to teach them at home as well. Well you can assume that since we have have a terrible job market, obviously many people here do not have health care. Many employers don't even offer it. Stick with the Jacksonville area or South FL. Those places are more diverse, tolerant and have better job markets. Now there are going to be people who grew up in Central FL and will tell you how great it is, but they just don't know any better. P.S. As far as not too hot goes, just stay away lol--we are the subtropics. The heat and humidity are awful.
