Cost of living in major European cities?

Hello, I am possibly going to move to Europe in the next several years and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the cost of living per month for a single guy in cities such as London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Edinburgh, Rome, and Vienna. Thanks.

  1. The value of the Euro is about twice that of the $1. Find out what the cost of living is in our major cities & multiply by 2.
  2. Take California, it is I am pretty sure the second highest cost of living in America. I know Hawaii is the first. The dollar is been declining for some time, it would be double. Take a condo in California, a nice one. Your chances of getting a new house like you see in the USA are slim and none, they build up not out in Europe. If it is 350,000 American dollars it would be for the same condo in any of the cities (more expensive in Berlin or Paris though) it would be 650,000 in Europe. Plus I live in Germany for a while and even before the gas prices here went up Europeans paid more. They have heavy taxes, but it because they actually use them for there citizens not like the USA, where they go to pay for every other counties bills. Europe has the best roads, bridges, and tunnels in the world because the are constantly maintained. Not like bridges that drop into the rivers here. So that is why taxes are so high. You are on the metric system too get used to it again, they are not the USA, they will not cater to your language or culture, you will learn threes or get out. So gas is sold by the liter and I think it is 4 liters to 1 gallon. But I know right now because my friend lived in Germany in Dortmund, gas is over 7 dollars a gallon. The most expensive is Norway (I know I just had a commercial diving job there a month ago so I know) it is over 9 dollars a gallon there. But also take into account Europe has the best mass transpiration in the world high speed trains, busses, subways, and you high taxes are being used to make all the countries in the EU connected and acquire mass transportation to all of them. So it cost more, but they actually use the taxes to better the peoples lives and for cost of living in general use my condo example of what is happening to American I sorry now I did not move there when it was cheaper.
