Where is the best place to vacation in Georgia?

We would like to be near a lake.

1. A little town called Monticello, it is near Jackson Lake and Lake Julliet.
2. There are probably five state parks on lakes in the state. Some may have cabins for rent. Type in yahoo search: Georgia State Parks
3. Lake Lanier, They have all kind of things to do. You can rent a cabin, fish,swim ,play golf, hike There's so much you can do. And to add that part of the 1996 Olympics was held there .
4. Savannah GA...lots of history, tours, shopping, beaches, its great
5. Atlanta had the new fish aquarium, six flags and stone mountain. Don't know about the lake, but there is one at stone mountain and you would have access to it if you stayed in one of their resorts.
