How do Immigrants live in big cities?
In New York and L.A. the demographics show that there is alot of immigrants from poor countries all over the world. When they come to America, how do they live in a city that expensive? New York and L.A rent is through the roof, and both cities have tons of poor immigrants who don't have much education or experience in the country. How are they able to afford rent and the cost of living in a huge city?

- >> immigrants from poor countries all over the world. That is your first error in assumption. Many immigrants are NOT poor. They only report about the poor immigrants on the TV NEWS. === >> nd both cities have tons of poor immigrants who don't have much education or experience in the country. Again, that is your second error in assumption. Most immigrants coming to USA are not poor and usually VERY well educated (college, master or even Doctorates degree). === Those that are really poor live in very horrible living condition, in very poor and dangerous neighborhood - and with many room mates. The "cost of living" is high mostly because of rent. So by living in in humane conditions they can afford to live there. Good Luck... P.S. I live in NYC. I worked in Wall Street with many immigrant employees. Many of them are their home country's best and brightest people all collected in NYC.
