1. If you like a big city with a large Hispanic community, Midwestern weather and some lakes in the city, this place may be just for you. I wouldn't go there!!! I prefer small towns. From the options you listed before I'd choose Washington (both DC and Washington State are acceptable for me). But if you don't like rain, don't go there.

3. If you want the ocean go to California! If you want sophisticated beauty stay in the east. North Carolina is beautiful! Maryland is awesome too.
