Road Trip! What are some good site seeing places between Phoenix Arizona and Miami Florida?

I'm going on a road trip so what are some good places to see along the way?

1. If i were able to take the trip i would definitely drive out rt. 66. I would stop in Roswell, New Mexico to see the aliens. My next stop would be in New Orleans, the food and the culture are to die for. Go to the Georgia coast and visit Savannah and eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. Then I make my way down into Florida driving along the coast stopping in Melbourne(outside of Orlando), I have family there and then I arrive in Miami. Hope you have fun because I did just thinking about it.
