name inexpensive cities to live in with available good paying jobs?

Can anyone of you think of cities in America that are inexpensive to live in but yet have gowing job opportunities. example: Charlotte, NC an artistic community would be great!

3. Williamsburg Virgina.....a town, but its very nice, and bushgardens is close by, and losts of good paying jobd, like suntara...or lightscapes

8. Umm, years ago and prior to the influx of the foreign workers, almost any US city. Now, it's a lost cause. You can still find high paying jobs, but they are in expensive cities and vice versa. In the end though, it evens out. Low cost of living and low pay vs high cost of living and high pay. I would suggest attaining a skill that is in demand vs looking for an environment that don't exist.
