Best Northern City in the United States for jobs?

What would be the best northern city in the USA to live and work in? Harsh winter conditions is ok for me and my wife, and we would love an area that has all the major seasons. What would you reccomend?

1. Anchorage, AK is very easy to get a job and salary is pretty high,http://www.bayareavisit.com/Special.html Minneapolis is another good place for job ,the difference is anchorage is good for labor, govermental job, minneapolis is good for higher education job.
