What state/city/area of the country is the best for tech jobs?

By best I mean an abundance of tech jobs with not enough people to fill them, high pay vs cost of living, etc. Thanks!

1. I live in San Jose, California, there's A LOT here!!! Cisco, Intel, Yahoo, Google (Mountain View, CA. I think), Etc........ Washington State has a lot too. I'm assuming New York does as well. As far as cost of living goes, GOOD LUCK! Anywhere you find Tech jobs, you'll always find too many people applying for the job you want. Then come to find out the job went to the CEO's nephew. Maybe you could move to India, since all of our tech jobs are being out-sourced there. Just a thought....
2. Austin, Texas is one of the best places in the country for Technology related jobs and the cost of living is reasonable enough that you could do well. There are also a good supply of tech opportunities in north central California and plenty of attractions for your off time, but the cost of living will force you to have six roommates and only experience the less expensive attractions. But it’s a good place to get experience.
