Why do big cities insist so much for gun control while rural areas feel comforable with them?
It always seems to be a city with a heavy black population. Its always a Democrat city.

- And yet we STILL have a lot of crime. Fooey.
- Because ironically, it's part of the lib agenda to keep Blacks on the plantation: by restricting our rights (e.g. the right to keep and bear arms [for self-protection]), perpetuating our dependency on government (the popo is the only one authorized to protect us from criminals) and making sure we have limited means of resistance to their persecution (we're too stupid to be able to act in our own self interest). Not for long-- we're waking up and we want the American dream too: lower taxes, incentive to succeed, pride in our accomplishments, and no freebies from our massa gov'mint!
- That will change (as it has already begun to). The Democrat party is being exposed as the party of "racial order" i.e. keeping the White ruling class on top and rubbing the asses of the race-baiters like Sharpton, Jackson, Wrangel, Conyers, Waters, Andrew Young, Marrion Barry, Cynthia McKinney, William Jefferson, Harold Ford, Kwame Kilpatrick, et al.
- Because the demographics are different. In rural areas, guns are part of the culture. Police stations are sparse, there are wild animals to worry about, and so on. In cities, on the other hand, there are none of those problems. Instead, there are problems of street gangs and such. So, weighing the pros and cons, rural areas decide that guns are worth it, and cities figure they aren't. And I think you're generalizing too much. Almost every major urban area in the US has a heavy black population and votes mainly Democrat.
