great places to live?

i want a good city/suburban area to live and raise my kids. My boyfriend is in the marines so we will be traveling alot but after we are done we want a good place to settle down. What we prefer... a place that does not snow out of the tornado path moderately priced homes good schools and living areas (ie low crime) and a newer area...i dont want to be living in 100 year old homes. I lived in San Diego and i would move back there before i moved to LA....yuck!

Public Comments

  1. try outskirts of LA
  2. Georgia: If snows it is just a little for a day or two. Not usually in the path of any tonadoes and the schools are great in some places and also in alot of places it the buyers market right now.
  3. Georgia! mmmm, low crime, newer area -- on the outskirts of a big city like Savannah, Macon
  4. Charles town south Carolina Santa Fe new Mexico las Vegas Nevada Naples Florida
  5. Not outskirts of LA, nothing is moderately prices anywhere in California....
  6. Dallas, TX Lakewood area. It's beautiful. Great school, family neighbourhood. Never snows. No torrnados have gone through here as far as I know. I have lived here for the past 13 years. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.
