Vacation places in mexico near texas?

Hi, I live in San Antonio, Texas. My husband and I are planning a 2 to 3 day vacation close by. I was wondering about visiting mexico (5 to 6 hrs drive from San Antonio is fine). Can you help me with places and also any other suggestions are welcome.

1. well more likely you kan visit Los filtros Camargo is a very nice place to wonder arouynd with such lakes or also visiting chihuahua wouldnt be that bad because over their is super nice
2. Zip on down to Nuevo Laredo and catch the dog races, do a little shopping, and stay in a nice hotel for not a lot of money! Because Nuevo Laredo is within 20 miles of the US border your car insurance will cover it.
3. Go to Monterrey/ Satillo Mexico. Not too far from the border---4 hours.
