best places to live

If you could live forever or as long as you wanted IE 100 or so years would you and how long?

Let me explain a little more i was someone who feared death, maybe more so afraid of the unknown and being alone and leaving so many loved ones,so i began to think wouldnt it be nice if we could live as long as we wanted, that is those of us who wanted to.look i know its all a part of life's cycle your born you live a little while and then you die but what if i dont want to live "a little while" what if i want to see my kids grow up and there kids and my great grand kids ,not to mention this big beautiful place called earth. there was an episode on the golden girls where they tackled this very topic in where sophia was having chest pains and rose says "why do we die life should be like a library card you check out a book keep it for a little while return it and checkout a new one" i agree, though if youve ever watched that show then you know rose probably isnt the one i should be quoting, but there you have it whats your oppinion. wow so many great responses this kinda makes my day, the cobb webs, deciding when to go,living forever minus the ailments im with you there, thanks i could never pick a best answer there all so great!

  1. It has been a great life but I miss my real home. Love and blessings Don
  2. 100
  3. i dont want to be more the 100 this world is too bad and beside i have to face death anyway
  4. Well I would never want to die! because as I age my family will continue to grow and i would want to be apart of there lives. It would be a circle that I would never end.
  5. I would live forever. Some people say it would be boring but things are constantly changing, things would never be boring. I too am afraid of death/dying, and I too want to live to see all of those things that you listed, I just don't know how great and wonderful our world will be in even just 100 years forget about forever!!!!
  6. i wouldn't want to live more than i'm supposed to. i have a grandma who is 90 this month. she has fractured her hip bone, really bad knee problem and her memory is getting worse. so when i think about old age, i think about the diseases and disorders of old age. sure, it's nice to see my grandkids. but what's the point of living way beyond your years to see your great grandkids if you can't even remember their names or you can't play with them? i think i'll pass living past 85 years old. besides, you can't avoid the inevitable.
  7. I know that some people reach a point in their lives when they are 'ready to go'. Usually when they reach an age where their friends, siblings etc are mostly dead, or their body just doesn't work properly any more. For me though, I could happily live for ever- I feel like life is like one long long and very interesting movie (and you get to be in it) and whenever you go you're leaving before the end. I always want too know how things are going to turn out- where the human race will be in 50 or 100 or 1000 years time. I probably can't live forever, but I'm sure going to try.
  8. only if i were immortal & never to experience physical pain w/the choice of ending my life when i was "satisfied". given that only good people had the chance. don't want anyone evil runnin loose forever, now do we?
  9. I firmly believe that I shall live until I die. I am also certain that someone out there is irritated by the fact that I am alive. I love irritating that person.
  10. I'd live to be about 100, old enough to see my infant sons become fathers themselves. I was 44 when they were born. Old enough to be a great grandmother to my daughter's grand children (she's 14)
  11. I don't know. I love life and all, and I know I chose to be here, but no, I would not want to live forever in this world. I know that life "on the other side" will be an amazing freedom unlike that we could ever conceive of in this physical world. I know that we don't really leave our loved ones behind but meet them again in the spirit world and resume our "real" relationships. The relationships we have here are just agreements we made to interact with each other in this world. I love life, but I know I'll love it after I leave this one as well.
  12. No I wouldn't want to. If you enjoy daydreaming, at least put enough into it so that something positive actually comes from it!
  13. ~~~ If I would have had the choice I would have chosen not to have lived at all.~~~
  14. If you could live forever, about 100 yrs, or so, you asked? I am a Wife, Mother Grandmother, and Great grandmother to a big family, I would not like to live and get older, and can not take care of myself when I am sick or am unable to move, I am a person who does everything for my Husband and myself, my Daughters all work, so, they have a full schedule with their own Family. I am happy that I have always been healthy, and am happy for the years the Lord God has given us, so when the time comes there will be no regrets. Thank you for this question. I might add that I have lived through all that you want to accomplish. Good luck, and I hope that all your dreams come true.
