What are the major cities in California?

What are the major cities in California? I know there is the the LA area, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego area, (which are all Coastal Cities). Then, there is the Sacramento area (in northern central California). Are there any other major cities in Central Calfornia or Eastern California?

1. Fresno, Stockton and Bakersfield. The Central Valley has so few cities due to its agriculture. Sacramento is probably the biggest city that is farthest east due to the Sierra Nevada mountains being on the east side of California and at the Southeast side, desert.
