What is the safest but cheapest part of new york city to live in? ?

im going to grad school in new york city and i wanted to know whats a safe but cheap place to live

3. well I think that it is manhattan, because I live there and it is reallly safe. My apartment is quick expensive, but I am rich so who cares. I hope you enjoy law school here like me.
4. New York is a jungle. As long as you stay out of Harlem and such and are street smart you should do okay most places.
