Best place to live in Orlando for a single guy?

I am moving to Orlando and want to know where is the best place to live for a 30 year old guy. I would like to have access to the best nightlife and upscale dining options, just a cab ride away. I want to live in a condo.

1. Downtown Orlando sounds like what you are looking for, but it is costly. Also, I am sorry to say that lately the murder rate has increased. It is almost a must to own a car in Orlando. The city is not like New York. Public transportation can be difficult. Having said all that, it is still a geat place to live!
2. Winter Park is the easy choice, but you may also want to see if you can grab one of the new condos right next to where they're building the new arena downtown. Alternatively, you can't go wrong if you can find something in Vizcaya off Sand Lake Road. (Dr Phillips area)
3. Winterpark is RIGHT there with all the night life and clubs. I know a girl who lives in an amazing apartment complex called Park North Apartments. It looks like something from Beverly hills. I think she pays around $700 a month. Its more of a condo than an apartment....but I only call something a condo if its on the beach. Sorry.
