what are the best places to live in Houston and why?

i am a 22 year old single male moving down for a job and looking for a nice location within reasonable walking distance from shops and restaurants and bars. what would be a nice ideal place to live at. originally from New York

1. It depends where you will be working! Restaurants and Bars are all over. Texans love those. Walking distance? you won't find those in Texas, everything is big - you will need a car. Unlike New York, bars have plenty of paring spots. The best way to live by far is the woodlands - north of town.
