what it is the BEST place to live in america and WHY ? ?

i want to move out with my family to a place where - living is affordable, but not a low income / non safe / dangerous areas.. - a place where we can find jobs (we are all adults in this family) - close enough to a big enough city ... we don't like very small towns that are very far away from big cities - nice weather. not excessively cold, especially the cold we hate it ! help please :)

2. Texas or Florida. Warm, for the most part, and no state income tax! You can be around Dallas, Houston, San Antonio in Texas, or Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa or Miami in Florida. Jobs, as everywhere, may depend on what you do! Good luck.
3. I'd say Portland, Maine is good but you don't want cold. New York, Virgina, Pennsylvania, Florida. New Jersey is Expensive, you may get stuck near cities.
