- Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon, and about a gazillion national parks and monuments, mostly about the prehistoric natives of the area. Also, Sedona is really neat, if a bit pricey, and if you're there in the summertime...Cottonwood creek, or whatever that is along the road from Flagstaff to Sedona. State Park with lots of playing to be done.
- Dang it Jane! Now I'm gonna sound like I'm copying you...but I LOVE Sedona...it's beautiful. And Phoenix is interesting...just to say you've been to Phoenix lol
- grand canyon??
- Red Rock State Park, Sedona, AZ Saguaro National Park, Tuscon, AZ Desert Botanical Gardens, Phoenix, AZ Kartchner Caverns, Benson, AZ Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Ajo, AZ Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon, AZ Petrified Forest National Park, Petrified Forest, AZ Canyon De Chile National Monument, Chinle, AZ Tuzigoot National Monument, Camp Verde, AZ
- The Grand Canyon. The USS Arizona Anchor in front of the State Capital in Phoenix. Either should give you goose bumps.
- I live in Arizona and can't think of what NOT to do. There are mountains to explore, deserts to wander through, meadows to traipse through, ski slopes to run down in Flagstaff... And not to sound repetitive, everything the other person mentioned about Arizona is true. One area s/he left off the list are Arizona's own White Mountains in central-eastern AZ. It's little traveled, too far for most Phoenicians to visit on the weekend, and rather inexpensive to experience if you like true wilderness.
- Look up the "Waves" Vermillion cliffs. It has some of the most beautiful places that i've ever seen. and the park is so sacred that they only allow ten people in a day! they have 4 camp spots which fill up quickly though. It is very interesting and unknown by most, Def a good research paper. They have dinosaur tracks preserved there as well.
