What are the best cities to live in?

I am 28 and have been in NYC for 4 years. While I love the culture, I'm tired of the over-crowding and the cold weather! What warm cities are fun and diverse?

3. San Diego is nice...and pretty diverse, too. So is Santa Monica, CA but both are pretty expensive.
