- Fly to one of the east European countries and head to a small city or village, not the capital city. Prague is way more expensive than the other towns in Czech republic, the same goes for Bratislava and Slovakia, Budapest and Hungary and so on. Beach resorts are often also more expensive than the countryside around, but might be worth it. In February you can go for winter sports in the northern half of Europe, including Czech republic, Slovakia and Poland, or for the sun in the south, take your pick.

- Amsterdam, Prag and Barcelona (I don't know the prices in Barcelona)
- If you fly a budget airline like Ryanair, £600 is enough for a great time in most countries. Ryanair has very cheap sales (sometimes even free). The only downside is that the airports are often a bit remote, so it takes a little extra time and money to get where you are going by local bus or train. Also check budget airlines local to the country you want to go to. http://ryanair.com For normal airfares, use Momondo or Skyscanner to find the lowest prices: http://momondo.com http://skyscanner.net If you want to stay in nice hotels, eat at nice restaurants, and so on, eastern and southern Europe are cheapest. Otherwise, private hostel or guest house rooms start at about €50/night in northern and western Europe (more expensive in places like Norway). Budapest, Krakow, Vienna are all lovely and very romantic.
