1. Charleston is wonderful, I go there a lot to visit friends. Greenville South Carolina is another GREAT place to visit, they have a nice downtown meca and also has AMAZING state parks in the mountains and all that. Asheville NC is also a BEAUTIFUL place. just stay AWAY from Myrtle Beach SC it is only a festering sess pool of tourist traps, cheap motels, pathetic attractions, no culture, and an over population of retired, grumpy, annoying old people that do nothing but complain and ruin the area year after year with more and more laws that ruin the economy here (i.e: abolishing the bike weeks that bring in MILLIONS of people and dollars..) anyways... hope that helped
