Is it possible to become a camp counselor in the UK if I live in the states?

If so, would travel expenses eat up most of my salary, or would i be OK?

  1. You may find it hard to get a job at a summer camp over here because they are really not popular over here like they are in the USA. I personally do not know anyone who has ever attended one. Having done a quick google search, it appears that the main summercamp in the UK is provided by http://www.kingswoodjobs.co.uk/apply/newform.asp?source=FooterDropdown and they appear to not accept applicants from American citizens. (Correct me if I am wrong but they have a list of flags at the bottom of the Screen and the USA flag isn't there)
  2. Sorry but we don't really 'do' summer camps over here - We have things like PGL but because there are so few of them most positions are usually taken up by UK residents before people from any other country can even have a look in. You would be better off becoming a camp counsellor in the USA or Canada.
