Does anyone know good places to visit in Charleston, South Carolina?
Hey, I am going to go to Charleston April 8th-21st to see my aunt and the sites. I have read what other people have asked but nothing was quite write. I would like information on all of the good places to go visit, buildings to see, things to do, events going on, museums to visit, and really anything that is really fun, historical, and just a blast.

- I enjoyed Magnolia Plantation just outside of Charleston. The grounds are beautiful and it's been there since the Revolutionary War. You could also check out some of the walking tours. My sister and I went on one that talked about the less illustrious (pirates, prostitutes, and other cool stuff) history of Charleston. Fort Sumter is interesting for it's Civil War history. If you like seafood you must go to Hymann's on King Street. It's just up the road from the Slave Markets shopping area. They didn't actually sell slaves there, but that's is what it's known as locally. If you like more recent military history you could tour the USS Yorktown, a retired battleship. Charleston has an large aquarium and Imax theater near the battery. A couple hours away in Columbia is the Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens. It's a rather nice zoo. You can pick up all sorts of tour ideas at the Visitors' Center.
