Best places to live in Tennessee?

Hi! Im planning to visit Tennessee one of this days, And planning to move in the future. I have a 3 yrs old son and soon he will be going to school. I'm a single mother looking for a good place to start a new life and a place that's near hospitals because I'm in the medical field and good public schools. Thanks.

  1. Don't know much about the school systems or hospitals in the west and middle parts of Tennessee, but the 2 best school systems in the eastern part are Farragut (near Knoxville) and Oak Ridge. Lots of hospitals to choose from in east Tennessee. Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge is an award-winning hospital. The Knoxville area hospitals are Parkwest, St. Mary's, Fort Sanders, Childrens' Hospital, and Baptist Hospital. IIRC, St. Mary's and Baptist recently joined forces; they're planning to close down 2 of the older hospitals to build a new one. Not sure when this will take place though.
