What cities along the coast of California?

are the best to live. I live in California but in a city that is extremely hot in summer. and i want to move somewhere on the coast to attend a community college. any ideas?

1. monterey is cool.paso robles san diego salinas cresent city eureka ukiah all these cities are by or close to the ocean and have pretty temperate climates.i really like monterey myself.
2. While I didn't live there, I did work on the coast, and loved to visit and stay in San Luis Obispo. Check it out.
