Can anyone suggest some good places to eat in Connecticut?

I'm going there whilst on my trip from Scotland to the states and I don't really know places to eat in Connecticut. I'll be in the Fairfield area....any suggestions?

1. Well, one good thing about Connecticut, it's not too big, just to make a road trip for one good meal! For example, my wife is from Bridgeport and has friends in Shelton, and we've driven up to Mystic Seaport just to eat dinner. In the Mystic area, and if you like seafood, then you have to try Custy's...it's an all you can eat place...but top shelf, and it includes lobster and great shrimp! If you like American Italian, then go to Pepe's Pizzeria in New Haven. But, one great thing about the New England area, just ask some of the locals where they eat...some times your best meal can be at the local diner, or a "hole-in-the-wall" type of place.
