What city is the best to live in on the west coast of Florida?

I currently live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I want to move to the west coast of Florida. What city is the best city that I should move to? What city has the lowest crime rate, least drug dealers, safest, etc.? Thank you.

3. They all have crime and drug dealers. They used to fly drugs into the west coast of Florida landing on the roads for subdivisions that had no houses on them. The question is do you need to find a job? If you need a job, then I recommend Tampa. Sarasota is quieter, but you will have more trouble finding work. The Fort Myers area has no jobs and lots of vacant houses in foreclosure. I would prefer to live in an area where there are people living. I suggest the Carrollwood area of Tampa as a very family oriented place, New Tampa is also nice
