Are there any quiet places in Connecticut to write or work?

It is hard to write at home sometimes due to all of the distractions so I have been trying to find places to go. I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year and enjoy the write-ins but I do not like going to places where I am expected to buy something every time. I was thinking a library might be good, but the ones I have been to are not very accommodating. I live in Southwestern CT. Does anyone know of any good spots around here for writers or just to do some work in quiet?
