Best cities in Texas to move/relocate to.?

So im going to be relocating with my family from Michigan to Texas. I have researched Houston, Austin, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area. So far it seems like people either love or hate Houston- but all tend to agree it has great and possibly the best job opportunities, Austin seems to get the best reviews for overall greatness I guess, and Dallas/Forth worth seems to get alot of positive reviews as well. I am a student so any info on schools would be great too- looked into Texas A&M and the University of Houston.

1. The only habitable part of Texas is the Hill Country roughly between Kerrville and Austin. Schools: Hard to beat A&M, Texas tech, UT, UTSA, SMU. Take your pick all are good.
