- Dillon, Silverthorne area. About 40 minute drive to Denver. Located near the best ski resorts in the country. Beautiful mountainous location with the convenience of a big city within an hour.
- First, EVERYPLACE in Colorado is great. Ski resorts...well...if you live near a ski resort, you will not be near anything else except a small town that is very expensive to live. in Better to live in a town that meets your other requirements and drive 2 hrs when you want to go skiing occasionally. Denver is huge. Colorado Springs is about 1/2 million, gorgeous, right next to the mountains, great views, several colleges, great malls and discounts stores, super clean...a wonderful place to live. For a smaller town, but not real small, Ft. Collins is excellent. Both Colorado Springs and Ft. Collins were named best cities to live in in the U.S. ( for their size) a couple of years ago.
- Breckenridge or Golden... P.S. Nice choice on Colorado...I live in the Chicago area and would move to Colorado if I had the opportunity...
