what would it be the best place to live in south Houston?

Hi, I am relocating to Houston area pretty soon. I will be working around Texas City, so I was wondering what area would ba the best. I am looking for family oriented community that has most of what we need shops, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Good school district is a must. I do not want to drive longer than 30 mins each way. I want to hear your advise.

1. I think you should look into Pearland and Friendswood.
2. Sugar land, tx its very safe the schools are awesome!! and there are all fast food restraunate and the mall is lik 10 min away every thing is close by there is a small shopping area (walmart,kohls,jcpenny,acedemy,kroger)etc Its a very good place to live at
