What are the best cities to live in in california?

I have a few in mind but i just want to see from other people. I am thinking about moving to Sacramento but i was also thinking about La cuz there is a lot of people and i like that. but my friend is in San diego so i thought about that one. I was just wondering what the best cities are and their benefits? and stuff..
