what cities have the BEST public transportation system?

i'm thinking of relocating, i'm in Jersey -- what places have the best and worst public transporation system? i hate driving and don't wanna drive my car....does anyone take pub. trans. for work - how is it? name some cities that would be good to relocate to....

3. The city I believe has the best public transportation for a city that is not to crowded is Chicago, Illinois. Chicago has the METRA which is a train system that is expanded into the metropolitan counties that surround Chicago, the Chicago Transit Authority, and the Pace Bus System. The public transportation expands more North of Chicago in Cook, Lake, and McHenry Counties. http://www.metrarail.com http://www.transitchicago.com http://www.pacebus.com The city with the worst public transportation system is Detroit, Michigan. It has the SMART bus system which is starting to be eliminated in some cities in the metropolitan area. You also have the Detroit Department of Transportation which is very unreliable and usually does not come on time. Plus, Detroit and the Greater Detroit Area have this saying "It's The Motor City, so there is no need for public transportation." Detroit does have a monorail system called The People Mover but that train system is very unreliable as well. 4. atlanta is said to have one of the best, if not the best transit system in the US. so much safer and cleaner than nyc or chicago. i have been to them all
