- ~~ Your moving to the State capital, with a population of over 150,000 people. You can be assured of a good school system and all the amenities a city that size requires. States always spend more on their capitals than other cities! After all, the politicians reside there. ~~ I'm unsure of the best places to live, it would be ideal if you could spend a day or two there before you move. Have a look around and ask local residents and business people about good neighbourhoods, housing, schools etc. ~~ With three children, schools are your number one priority. I have found this website for you. It lists the many different schools in the Tallahassee area, their address, phone number, map etc. Have a look and arm yourself with some information before relocating. http://www.50states.com/florida/tallahassee_schools.htm?show=F
- Most people would say the northeast side of town. Schools are better and as a result, property costs are higher. Check out Tallahousee.com for links to housing, school zones, and school zone ratings.
- I live in the Northeast side of town, which is the Killearn area. I would say this is the best and most peaceful area to live in Tallahassee, because it is away from the Capitol and colleges. The East side is good as well. I have also heard that Southwood, which is on the SE side of town is great as well and growing. But, the Northeast side has the better school districts, in my opinion.
