need some advice on what school i should go to???
ok so i live in south america and i had gone to this one school since i was in 3rd grade. this summer we moved to a new city and so i decided to try homeschooling since i knew we would only be there for a year. i pretty much hate homeschooling and its killing me lol and im in 9th grade. so summer 2008 i am going to be moving to the US for a year, 10 grade. i had planned on homeschooling this year too since i know that we will be traveling a lot, but now i am considering going to a public school. my question is do you think that it'll be worth it to go to a school just for a year?? after that year i will be moving back to south america and gong to school for 11th and 12th grade. there is also a possibiity of spending 6 months in one city and 6 months in another, and in that case if i would be in 2 public schools during the course of one year. so should i continue suffering for one more year in homeschooling or should i check out a public school?? if you read all that thanks a lot lol :) thanks yeah my parents said it was ok if i decided to go to a public school

- hey you should go 2 a public it will give u a chance 2 meet some new people and make new friends .When u move back get there emails to stay in contact
- First, you sound pretty smart and you should remember that the choices you make now will affect your whole life. You do not mention your parents. Where do they fit into this scenario? Do you make all your own decisions? I hope not, because everyone benefits from diverse opinion. So. Skip the home schooling. Almost no one, who is not a trained teacher in multiple disciplines, has the education and skills to be a teacher. You would shortchange yourself in math, science, history, literature, for just a few. Then, you would not benefit from the social interaction one gets from going to a school even if it's only for six months. Going to a school gives you the opportunity to advance yourself intellectually, make new friends whom you may keep for life even though you will be living in South America later. Home schooling deprives kids of what they will need for a secure and deep future. Just ask yourself the following question: How many parents can explain what a finitely presented group is? My guess is zero. Yet that is a form of algebra that could be useful to you when you go to college. How many parents can discuss the implications of the treaty of Versailles? The role of existentialism in modern literature? The human genome? Do go to a school. You will not regret it.
