What American cities/towns?

have the highest and lowest median ages? I'm guessing that the lowest median age would be a university town, and I'm guessing that the highest would be a popular retirement spot. So, what are those cities? *Ages*, not wages. Actual data would be nice.

1. Florida has a lot of old people.
2. How do you account for the fact that a lot of retirees head for college towns for the lower cost of living and ready access to facilities? (Libraries, internet, entertainment, etc ..)
3. I think that Ithaca, NY and El Paso, TX have very low wages and are soooo cheap. NYC and San Francisco would have the highest median wages...and after that comes Washington, DC and LA, CA.
4. According to the 2005 ACS, the median age for the U.S. household population was 36.4 years. Among the nation’s 15 largest cities, some of the populations with the highest median ages were found in San Francisco (39.4 years of age), New York (35.8) and Philadelphia (35.3). Phoenix (30.9), Dallas (31.9) and Columbus, Ohio (32.1) had some of the lowest median ages. So it appears that for large cities San Francisco would take the highest and Columbus, OH the lowest. For smaller towns, it's Boynton Beach, Fla. (44.1 years) with the highest median age and Bryan, Texas (27.7) with the lowest median ages.
5. Los Angeles, Hollywood, Atlanta, New York just to mention a few. Usually Cold weather places tend to have more median ages.
