best places to live

Best cities in California to live?

I realize that I will get a ton of repsonses, and whats good for one person isnt for another, but I live in Hollywood, and dont really care for it. I really would have to question who likes living in this area, rather depressing. I feel that if I move back east, Boston, that I will regret it, because it may be unfair to judge CA based on LA. I am not into clubbing. I am in my late twenties, and enjoy real, happy, down to earth people, hard to find in Hollywood. How about Burbank? Also, I cant get over how expensive the houses are. I really wish I went to college out here 6 years ago and bought a house. Thanks

  1. anywhere on the central coast. from santa barbara to san luis obisbo. beautiful!
  2. why dont you move out of the big cities into the smaller places in central and northern CA. there is more to CA than coastal southern
  3. San Diego
  4. I was going to say Central as well. I saw a T-shirt that said something like If you're famous you live in Santa Barbara; If you're wealthy you live in Montecito; but if you're lucky you live in Carpinteria.
  5. We LOVE Vacaville. It's halfway between Sac and S.F. and has tons of great shopping with a semi-smaller town feel. Not too crowded and very clean and well kept. It is northern Ca though. Just don't move to the Corona/Riverside area. Used to live there and I'd rather live in Hades than move back there.
