Which European cities get the most tourists?
Any availble ranking with actual numbers of visitors?

- France is the number 1 city for tourists in Europe
- probably London or France or Rome.
- For the first two people who answered FRANCE is the wrong answer because FRANCE is a country and NOT A CITY. The most popular is London. London is the number one European city break destination, according to latest figures. The English capital welcomed 11.6 million overseas visitors and 16.1 million UK tourists. This put London well ahead of its nearest rival Paris, which had fewer than nine million foreign visitors, the statistics from market research company Mintel showed. With the Olympics being in London in 2012- I am sure the popularity will continue to grow. I also found another site that confirmed that London was the most popular... The numbers are a little dated, 2002, but I think they hold true in rank... 1. London (11.6 million) 2. Amsterdam (5 million) 3. Rome (3.9 million) 4. Dublin (3.5 million) I did find one more site that stated: Prague continues to be one of the most popular cities in Europe, coming behind only London, Paris, Rome, Madrid and Berlin in terms of the number of foreign visitors last year. And what's more that number is growing, says Czech Tourism in a new report. This site still confirms that London is #1. I would think that Paris and Rome would all also be in the top 5. I did see alot of websites that said Paris was #1. I think this may have been pre-9-11. After 9-11 many Americans held back vacationing in Paris and in all of France.
